Hornback — Dorsal Cut
taglio dorso · dorso · horn
Definition
Hornback is the leather cut taken from the back of the animal, particularly from alligator and crocodile. It is distinguished by the presence of dorsal bony-horny crests — the 'horns' — that create an irregular, rustic texture with strong character. It is the choice for those seeking a watch strap with marked personality, an excellent pairing with sports and diving watches. More economical than the belly cut because hornback yields more pieces per hide.
The next step
The right strap isn't chosen. It is built, together.
