Definition
A finish that artificially reproduces the signs of natural wear on leather and materials, creating a vintage, lived-in look. This technique, which I have perfected over the years, gives the strap character and authenticity, simulating the gradual ageing that only time could otherwise provide.

Pull-up leather and aniline leather are ideal: their natural colour variation enhances the vintage effect. Full-grain leather beautifully reveals the marks of the distressed treatment.
