Our artisans mainly use neoprene glues for denser leathers such as crocodile and water-based glues for more delicate leathers. The choice depends on the type of leather and the intended use of the strap, always ensuring maximum adhesion without compromising the material's natural flexibility.
How does pairing affect the durability of a leather strap?
Correctly executed pairing prevents delamination of the layers and keeps the strap's structure stable for years. At Milano Straps, we apply uniform pressure during drying and check every millimetre of the surface to avoid air bubbles or areas that are not perfectly bonded. This process significantly increases resistance to daily wear and moisture.
Can a strap that has delaminated after pairing be repaired?
Delamination is generally irreversible and indicates faulty pairing or the use of unsuitable materials.
