One pass only. No double layer under the watch case, no excess fabric cluttering the wrist. The single pass design stems from military needs for simplicity and reliability — and that logic hasn't changed.

Made from 100% recycled polyester, this strap embodies a quiet consistency: technical material, essential construction, a khaki color that doesn't demand attention but gets it. The buckle remains centered under the wrist, not to the side as with traditional NATO straps — a subtle difference, but one that once experienced, you won't go back. The sliding keeper secures the tail without protrusion. The watch case stays low on the wrist.

The one-piece structure also offers additional security: if a spring bar were to fail, the watch wouldn't slip off. A detail made famous by NATO straps, re-proposed here in a cleaner geometry.

Compatible with the most common 20mm and 22mm lugs — suitable for the Tudor Black Bay style and any watch case requiring a sober, robust, and uncluttered strap.

Domande Frequenti

I like the concept, but I'm afraid that a recycled polyester strap will start to wear down after a few months. How does it really hold up over time?

It's a legitimate question. What I can tell you is that the 100% recycled polyester here isn't an aesthetic choice: it's a technical material designed for harsh environments. The 1.5mm thickness is engineered to withstand repeated mechanical stress without delaminating. The 316L buckle — marine-grade steel — isn't a detail: it means the joining elements won't fail while the fabric ages. It won't give you the patina of a Horween or Shinki leather, that's true. But that's a different story. This strap will gradually fade without tearing. If you want to know how it holds up in practice, the only way is to try it.

It says compatible 20-22mm. How exactly does it work? Do I put the same strap on two watches with different lug widths?

No, it doesn't work that way. The lug width — that measurement — must match your watch. This strap is designed for 20mm lugs. The 20-22mm compatibility you read means that the fabric itself, given how it's constructed in single pass, adapts well to both 20 and 22mm cases without creating odd tensions. But you need to check what your case is. A Black Bay has 20mm. If your watch has 22mm and you force this strap on, that's not a design issue.

Single pass means that if a spring bar breaks, the watch won't fall off. But how does it actually stay in place if there's a hole?

The spring bar has two pins, one for each lug. In single pass, the fabric runs once under the case: when the spring bar is intact, everything is centered and controlled. If one of the two pins failed — rare scenario, but possible — the fabric remains hooked to the other lug and to the buckle ring. The watch won't slip off your wrist. It's not a feature you'll exploit daily, but it's that military logic I mentioned: structural redundancy without visual bulk.

How much shorter is the tail compared to a traditional NATO? Why do you talk about 'no tail getting in the way'?

In classic NATOs the fabric runs twice under the case and the tail — that extra part — you often feel under your wrist. Here, single pass means only one pass: the tail is proportioned, the sliding keeper locks it without protrusions. The geometry is more straightforward. It's not an abstract difference: it's a tactile sensation. If you wear a traditional NATO with a long, bulky tail, and then switch to this one, you'll immediately understand what we mean.

Why khaki specifically? Is there a precise purpose or is it just color?

Khaki is the legacy of the military design this strap takes inspiration from. It's not decorative. It's the color that doesn't seek attention but earns it — works on any dial, doesn't compete. It reflects the essential aesthetic of the project: recycled material, clean construction, no frills. If you want neutrality without being invisible, khaki does its job.
